The Wedding Planning Series #2 Bridesmaids.

Good Evening lovely wedding planners and browsers! I hope that you're all having a lovely Sunday! I'm happy to be back! I decided to take a little break from blogging whilst I got over my funk and then came down with an awful cold, which resulted in many an evening of coming home from work and flopping on the sofa, gazing at Come Dine With Me.

What happier and more exciting way to make a return than with a little bit of an update on my wedding planning. Here's where Pinterest takes over. First it's probably a good idea to introduce you to my bridesmaids! Well that's as long as none of them make me hate them by then! Haha.

1) Charlie. Charlie is my oldest and dearest friend. We grew up living next door to one another and spent literally every second we could together. We went to different schools but it didn't matter. She was my main consistent through a lot of changes. When I moved to Cornwall, we haven't seen each other since. Almost 12 years later...How sad is that!? Luckily, it started with phone calls on the
landline, progressed to text and grew with us to Facebook and Instagram. We kept together through the hardest parts of our lives. We still kept exactly the same bond that we've always had and I know that she's the most important friend I've ever had.

2) Stacie and Leona. You guys don't need to hear about these fancies. You see them all the time on
here and by now you are most definitely following the
ir awesome blogs. These two are just my bests. Completely different in most ways but fucking awesome all the same.

3) Marie and Abigail. These are Harp's cousins and they're super cute. Marie is ten and is just starting to get to her teen years, she's so fun to talk to and play with and she's becoming super crafty! I think she could just be the next JoJo! Abigail has just turned three and is just starting to get fun (not that she wasn't fun before, just small and fragile.) She has so many questions about EVERYTHING and it's hilarious what she comes out with! I haven't asked permission for their photos to be on here so you'll just have to make do knowing that they're awesome.

So now you know all about them; my original inspiration was found browsing good ol Pinterest. It's the photo top, centre. Harp's only requirement for the big day was that he can wear "cool, bright hi-tops." Which I can live with, so this in mind, I love the idea of all white dresses. Different styles, because my bridesmaids could NOT look more different! But all knee length or shorter if they want. I want everyone to be comfortable, so I think this is the best way for everyone to find something that they like and also I figured that they could choose their colour. (This is a hint for you all to let me know what colour you'd like?) Then I came across those lace shoes which I've decided are a must; even if it involves a bit of DIY. Just to break up the bold colours.

You can find all images and links to original sources on my Pinterest page! And follow my lists of lovely things too if you like!? /maybeonedaysoon.

So what do you think brides and browsers? Good idea? Bad idea? Are you planning a wedding? If so, let's be wedding friends!

Turning Twenty Two & The First Anniversary of Sophie & Batman!

Good evening lovely world of internet! I hope that you're all wrapped up warm in this wintery, dreary weather! Yesterday I celebrated turning twenty two! It's brilliant! I'm still loving birthdays! I wonder what age you stop loving birthdays? Have any of you found a certain age brought less excitement? I must say though, January birthdays suck! It's just the worst possible time of year for a birthday! No-one has any money, they're back to work, school, commitments, people are stopping drinking, eating, having fun. Myself included in most of these. Worst, in my opinion is that the weather SUCKS. So thumbs up mother! Good planning skills there! Haha.
Yesterday it rained. Like alllllll dayyyyy. Which scuppered my zoo plans (maybe karma telling me something, see my pre-birthday post!) So instead me, and the better half decided to build a fort in our front-room! It was brilliant! What's more brilliant is not getting in trouble from your parents! We moved the sofas and gathered some sheets, using a broom, part of a hoover and an ironing board and created A MASTERPIECE! You can see above, Batman also loved the fort building! He had fun with the room all in disoray and it gave him more places to play! We did get invaded by Batman trying to jump onto the top though! I got some lovely cards and come lovely gifts too! Including a handmade clay Batman, and handknitted Batman from Harp's lovely mummy! Some flowers from a best friend, and some socks from another! Not to mention the bundles of goodies from Harps! Including my long awaited "Unicorn Raising' book, a new dress AND a snazzy new coat (WITH A HOOD) AND some awesome Nike Blazer Vintage trainers! Lucky me I know! I've also been treated to a lovely lunch with a good friend, and spent some time with the beautiful little girl you can see below! This is the first photo, and the first time I've held a young baby in about 10 years. I find them scary and fragile! Hahaha!
We played Battleships in our fort and we also tried to play Monopoly In the City! Have any of you ever played/attempted to play that game?! It's IMPOSSIBLE! So we figured that we weren't smart enough and gave up. In the evening, we went over to mummy's house and she cooked me a tasty dinner and I got a snazzy new dress and sparkly cardigan! She also put glow sticks on the table. Bimble turned into a raver and Harps got all a bit too excited.

So cheers mummy! And thanks everyone for the birthday wishes!

I AM OFFICIALLY ON HOLIDAY! And a Birthday Wishlist!

WHY IS THE WEATHER TRYING TO DESTROY MY HOLIDAY!? That's right! Holiday! Whoppeeeeeeee! I have a week off for my birthday! Which is in 3 days! Yes 3 days! Not that I'm excited at all...not...at...all..Pfffttt fuck that! Hellz yeah I'm excited and it's for two very specific reasons. 1) It'll be mine an Batman's anniversary (for those of you who don't know, we came into each-others lives last year on my 21st birthday.) 2) IT'S TIME FOR MY ANNUAL TRIP TO THE ZOO! Now I know what you're thinking, "Sophie, surely if you love animals as much as you say you do, you wouldn't agree with them being caged and out of their natural habitat?!"...Well yes and no. I do love animals. Muchly. I am making a conscious effort to stop using products that are tested on animals, and also to become more aware and less naive about the horrible conditions that some of our world's finest creatures have to endure. But I also have one slight problem....5 year old Sophie always wins. And it's 5 year old Sophie that cannot wait to spend the day there with my boy this week. Last year dear Liona came with us! What a fun time we had! I held hands with a couple of monkeys. Harps and Liona were scardy cats, Liona and I touched a sloth (he loved us) AND Harps is petrified of birds which is always amazing to witness him flapping around in a panic.

And here it is! My Official Birthday Pick List for Harps to buy from. (He wants me to wear hi-tops with dresses. Says he finds it sexy (weirdo)..But then I have a thing for lumberjack beards...so anywhoo)...

ASOS watch, Hare & Wishbone charm necklace, Sandcastle Chamilia bead, ASOS scallop lace dress, ASOS green skater dress, Ellie Andrews Pineapple T-Shirt, And any of these Nike Blazer Hi-tops!

Plenty to choose from I'd say! Now if you'll excuse me...our landlord wants to do an inspection, so I have some Batman gnawed holes in doors to fill! Bloody rabbit.

3 days to go!

My Christmas Wishlist

EEEEEKKKKKKK! 20 DAYS TO GO! How damn fast has this year gone?! I have always been a bit of a Scrooge up until last year, Christmas had always been a bit overrated, never a particular good time of year and really...just...crap..However, last year I was proved completely wrong! I decided I was going to give it all one more shot and boy did I go for it! I watched every Christmas film on, made snowflakes, paper chains and decorations (which I am VERY excited about doing again on Sunday) and threw myself into the festivities! I loved it. I had an awesome time, and cannot wait for this year.

So the other day, Harp's family asked for our Christmas list...and well, it was hard. There just isn't anything I really want that I could think of. It's my birthday in January so I always keep my best list for then ;-). So I knew I wanted books (I always want books, see me on Goodreads) and then I ended up finding a few other pretty things...

There's this amazing book that I am more desperate to receive more than anything! It's called;

Raising Unicorns: Your Step-by-Step Guide to Starting and Running a Successful - and Magical! - Unicorn Farm

Doesn't that sound magical?!?!? And even better is the front cover! It's like it was made for me! I hope I get it! I'm gonna wear a sheriff outfit when I'm reading it and will keep you all up to date with my new money making scheme!

  • I also will be more than happy with a new watch! I've stopped wearing one in recent years, but I'm kind of looking for certain "everyday" jewellery now. Isn't this ASOS rose gold style 'globe' one beautiful?! I don't mind that the chronograph is just for show, it makes pretty decoration!
  • And to go with it, I found this adorable 'Hare & Wishbone' charm necklace from Notonthehighstreet.com Isn't it cute!
  • And to continue with my new mission to make our bedroom a bit nicer. These bed sheets from Debenhams are super awesome. I really like the tree print, but also the underside colour! Such a good yellow!
So please santa, here is my list. Nothing too much I don't think! I've been pretty damn good aswell if I do say so myself (and ooh a large scrapbook for wedding planning fun!)  Cheers matey!
