The Wedding Planning Series #4 The Groom.

All images and their sources can be found through my Pinterest page: /maybeonedaysoon.

Harps and I are OFFICIALLY on holiday! Which means a day of lazing around, browsing Pinterest and gathering wedding plans. We're off because it's his 26th birthday on Sunday! Tomorrow we have friends coming over for a night of board games and drinking (and fingers crossed, BBQ!) We also are off on Monday to visit a couple of wedding venues! How exciting! I can't wait to tell you all about it! Inspired by this, I've started to drag Harps into the wedding planning process and wanted to share with you all a few ideas we've had so far. Harps (pictured centre) is quite possibly the most laid back person I have ever known. My mum calls him horizontal Harpy because of his casual outlook on life. One of the many reasons that I can't wait to marry him. Our wedding discussions have discovered three things:
 1) Harps wants bright coloured high tops.
 2) He doesn't want to wear braces.
 3) When else in life do you get to wear a bow tie without being a bit of a creep?

So, what do you think of our budding ideas so far? Do you have an opinion of bow ties vs neck ties? Patterned shirt and plain neckwear? Or plain shirt and patterned neckwear? Or a crazy colour clash of both? Whereas I'd opt for the casual pastels and polka dot attire, Harps wants to smack everyone in the face with colour? We plan for a happy mix of the both.

Planning a wedding yourself? Tell me all about it and lets spread wedding cheer around the place!

The Wedding Planning Series #3 Food.

All images courtesy of Pinterest- Check out the original links on there. P.s. I love the goldfish centrepieces but I'm not that mean to boil some fisheys on a lovely spring day!

Good day flower petals! The wedding planning is still very much in the early stages but it makes me so happy to piece things together and share them with you all (besides, I've had some great tips from you all!) So far we've looked at venues and bridesmaids and this time is a little look into the food that I want....Well actually Harp's (the massively picky eater- boo) will eat.

Going along the whole picnic theme, I ideally want a lovely set of hampers and blankets strewn along the *insert venue here* that groups of people can have their pre-ordered, individual little picnic lunches. I really want a spring wedding (outdoors- I know, I'm actually insane!) which means lots of fresh foods and vibrant flavours. I plan for this to be like pretty much after we get married- I hate being hungry for hours at a wedding. We'll all settle down for picnic loveliness and then spend the afternoon playing lawn games and dancing to bands and generally having a blast. Then when evening comes, we all have a massive bbq and dance and prance a bit more. Perfect right?

So, very much still in the planning stages, I know that I want these individual lovely, fancy picnics and I have totally fallen for cake-in-a-jar...Because that's a great idea of course. And I have absolutely and utterly fallen in love with Benny's Organic Ice Cream tandem bike. The ice cream is DELICIOUS. I want to arrange for this to come mid afternoon for a cooling treat for everyone before the bbq but amongst a big selection of cakes and cool beverages (lemonade, cherryade, fruity punches etc).

So what do we think? Do you think people will be hungry? Do you think it's a good/bad idea? Share your wisdom with me! If your in the midst of planning your own wedding, let me know! I need tips and help and support. Haha.

The Wedding Planning Series #2 Bridesmaids.

Good Evening lovely wedding planners and browsers! I hope that you're all having a lovely Sunday! I'm happy to be back! I decided to take a little break from blogging whilst I got over my funk and then came down with an awful cold, which resulted in many an evening of coming home from work and flopping on the sofa, gazing at Come Dine With Me.

What happier and more exciting way to make a return than with a little bit of an update on my wedding planning. Here's where Pinterest takes over. First it's probably a good idea to introduce you to my bridesmaids! Well that's as long as none of them make me hate them by then! Haha.

1) Charlie. Charlie is my oldest and dearest friend. We grew up living next door to one another and spent literally every second we could together. We went to different schools but it didn't matter. She was my main consistent through a lot of changes. When I moved to Cornwall, we haven't seen each other since. Almost 12 years later...How sad is that!? Luckily, it started with phone calls on the
landline, progressed to text and grew with us to Facebook and Instagram. We kept together through the hardest parts of our lives. We still kept exactly the same bond that we've always had and I know that she's the most important friend I've ever had.

2) Stacie and Leona. You guys don't need to hear about these fancies. You see them all the time on
here and by now you are most definitely following the
ir awesome blogs. These two are just my bests. Completely different in most ways but fucking awesome all the same.

3) Marie and Abigail. These are Harp's cousins and they're super cute. Marie is ten and is just starting to get to her teen years, she's so fun to talk to and play with and she's becoming super crafty! I think she could just be the next JoJo! Abigail has just turned three and is just starting to get fun (not that she wasn't fun before, just small and fragile.) She has so many questions about EVERYTHING and it's hilarious what she comes out with! I haven't asked permission for their photos to be on here so you'll just have to make do knowing that they're awesome.

So now you know all about them; my original inspiration was found browsing good ol Pinterest. It's the photo top, centre. Harp's only requirement for the big day was that he can wear "cool, bright hi-tops." Which I can live with, so this in mind, I love the idea of all white dresses. Different styles, because my bridesmaids could NOT look more different! But all knee length or shorter if they want. I want everyone to be comfortable, so I think this is the best way for everyone to find something that they like and also I figured that they could choose their colour. (This is a hint for you all to let me know what colour you'd like?) Then I came across those lace shoes which I've decided are a must; even if it involves a bit of DIY. Just to break up the bold colours.

You can find all images and links to original sources on my Pinterest page! And follow my lists of lovely things too if you like!? /maybeonedaysoon.

So what do you think brides and browsers? Good idea? Bad idea? Are you planning a wedding? If so, let's be wedding friends!
